Luke’s Inn
Masatepe Addiction Recovery Center
Inspired by the Good Samaritan, we aspire for Masatepe to be a community that comes alongside those bound by addiction and provide an “inn” for the longer-term care they need.

We believe that no one is invisible, and everyone should have access to food, freedom, and forgiveness. We see the pain and brokenness in our neighbors who are dealing with substance dependance, and we are determined to ensure access for victims to have their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs met.
We want to see lives transformed by the power of God.
We aim not only to break the bonds of substance dependance, but to offer victims another chance at life. Through this program, residents receive counseling and also benefit from job training and discipleship alongside others on a similar journey. We want to see holistic healing from the negative effects of substance dependance.
Luke’s Inn is funded by donations through local and global partnerships and sustained by developing farming businesses.
We bring people together - doctors, counselors, pastors, farm-hands, recovered addicts, current addicts, organizations and churches (local and global), and compassionate community members - to break the bonds of substance abuse and walk alongside those who wish to be healed, rebuild their lives, and tell a new story.
The farm itself is being operated as a sustainable business with several income streams. We currently have three segments of farming:
produce farm
Year-round, our 7-acres produce avocados, citrus, bananas, plantains, cocoa, coconut, turmeric, and more.
chicken farm
In partnership with OneEgg.org, we donate 400 eggs every school day to 5 local preschools.
tilapia farm
Masatepe’s only tilapia farm - created to raise and sell to market-weight to provide funds for the recovery center.
pig farm
We rear piglets to market-weight and sell them locally. We currently have capacity for 60 pigs.
